Mary L. May

Mary L. May, 92, passed away Saturday at the Christian Health Care of Nevada. She was born in Nevada in 1918 to Mr. and Mrs. William Kluth. She graduated from Nevada High school in 1936 and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, She was employed as a credit manager at Montgomery Ward's in Nevada, Joplin, and Kansas City. She then worked for Woodfill's Jewelry in Nevada for several years. Later in life, she worked for 15 years at the Nevada Middle School.

In 1946, she married Don May, who preceded her in death. She is survived by one son, John May, of St. Louis; one sister, Anne M. Goss, of Jupiter, Fla.; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Four brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.

Per her request, there will be no funeral or memorial service and her body will be donated to medical research. Private graveside rites will be held in Mt. Calvary Cemetery once her remains are returned to the family from the research facility.
