MoDOT schedules meeting on U.S. 71 projects north of Rich Hill

The Missouri Department of Transportation will host a public meeting Thursday, Sept. 9, at the Rich Hill High School Auditorium to gather input on the proposed improvements on U.S. 71, north of Rich Hill to Miami Creek. A brief presentation will be given at 6 p.m., followed by a come-and-go style session until 7:30 p.m.

The proposed improvement consists of constructing outer roads mainly on the east side of U.S. 71 from the Route A/B interchange at Rich Hill to County Road 4016 south of Miami Creek. Access to the west under the U.S. 71 bridges at the Marais des Cygnes will be provided. All at-grade crossings in this area would be removed.
