Foust -- 90 years

Liddie (Bright) Foust, of Centerville, Iowa, formerly of Nevada, turned 90 years old on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010.

Mrs. Foust's children and grandchildren honored her with a "surprise" birthday open house at Grace Tabernacle Baptist Church, in Centerville, on Sept. 4.

Foust worked in Nevada during the 1940s at the Wagon Wheel, White Grill, Hotel Cafe, and Key factory. In 1948, she married Albert Foust and together they served churches in Arkansas and Missouri for 17 years. The Fousts were serving in a church close to the Iowa line when they retired and made their home in Centerville. The Rev. Foust died in 1987. Mrs. Foust's brother and sister, Everett Bright and Lela Withrow, still reside in Nevada.
