Roxie Louise Scott, 85, Nevada, passed away Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada, following a short illness. She was born April 6, 1925, in Nevada, to William Benton Glendenning and Sylvia Garland Glendenning. She was married June 26, 1949, in Nevada, to Orville T. Scott and he preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 2007.

Mrs. Scott was born and raised in Nevada and spent most of her life in this area. She worked for a brief time during World War II in a defense plant in Wichita, Kan. She also worked at the Nevada State Hospital and the Tent Factory in Nevada. She was a dedicated and loving mother and that love was returned in full.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Brendlinger and her husband, Jerry, Milo, and Marsha Sharp, El Dorado Springs; four grandchildren, Melissa Bedford and her husband, Kevin, Bella Vista, Ark., Mathew Scott and his wife, Angie, Kansas City, Mo., Jessica Pursley, Dexter, Mo., and Scott Janes, Nashville, Tenn.; four great-grandchildren, Melina, Lashay, Daniel, and Dylan; three nieces, Janet Zoglmann, Milo, Kessie Steuck, Nevada, and Beatrice Farmer, El Dorado Springs. In addition to her husband Orville, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Orville Wayne Scott, and one sister, Nadine Jadlot.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 22, at Moore Cemetery in Nevada with the Rev. Bill Platt officiating.
