Organizers are hoping for a big turnout for 41st Annual McGennis Youth Center barbecue on Sunday.

Children's games will start at 12:30 p.m.; and horse-drawn wagon rides touring the Center will be provided by Mumma Farms.

The meal will be served at 1 p.m., with Flaming Lantern preparing the food. Attendees encouraged to bring a cake for donation to the dessert table. Any extra cakes will be auctioned.

Several local musicians will provide music through the dinner hour.

About 2 p.m., a unique variety of crafts and collectible items will go on the auction block, to include the auctioning of McGennis Youth Center caps donated by Bell Photography. These caps will be numbered and the winning number drawn will win a .22-caliber Henry rifle, donated by Bell Farms. Numerous other items will be auctioned as well.

Admission for the barbecue is $8 for adults with children under the age of 10 free with parents. Tickets are for the meal and are not required for the auction.

From Rich Hill, the McGennis Youth Center is located 5 miles west on A Highway and 4 miles south on WW Highway.

In case of rain, the event will be moved to the gym of the old Rich Hill High School.
