Eileen Mae Wisehart, 92, died at 10:55 a.m., Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at Via Christi Village.

She was born Sept. 14, 1918, in Harris, Kan., to Dempsey Ethredge and Guinivere Katherine Wilson Gibbs.

She married Claude A. Dunham Jr., in Carthage, Mo., on May 7, 1942, and they lived in Fort Scott until 1963, when they moved to Pittsburg. He died in 1976. She married Jim Wisehart in Hawaii on Oct. 12, 1983, and moved to Sheldon, Mo. He preceded her in death in December 2007.

Eileen worked at the Citizens National Bank in Fort Scott and Pittsburg and at Ramsey's in Pittsburg. She also owned Eileen's Dress Shop. She later worked for Drs. Pogson and Holsinger until her retirement.

She was a 55-year member of Beta Sigma Phi, joining in October 1955. She was a member of the Sheldon Christian Church, served on the Sheldon Library Board and was a member of the Sheldon, Missouri Order of the Eastern Star. She had been a member of the Sheldon American Legion Survivors include her daughter, Koeta Bryant and husband, Tom, of Pittsburg; four granddaughters, Lisa Moreland and husband, John, of Pawhuska, Okla., Kala Spigarelli and husband, Taka, of Pittsburg, Angela Spigarelli of Pittsburg, and Jessica Dunham of Clever, Mo.; nine great-grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Bradley and Alexis Moreland, Jordan, Christian, Zachary, and Olivia Smith, and Jadon Dunham; step-sister, Wanda Hughes and husband, Al, of Denver, Colo.; sister-in-law, Sarah Gibbs of Alexandria, La.; and brother-in-law, Max Wisehart of Sacramento, Calif.

She was preceded in death by a son, Larry L. Dunham and a brother, Jess E. Gibbs.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Sheldon Cemetery in Sheldon, with the Rev. James McCoy officiating. Burial will follow the services. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, at the Brenner Mortuary, where friends may call after 1 p.m. The family suggests memorials be given to the Alzheimer's Association. These may be left at or mailed to the Brenner Mortuary, 114 E. 4th St., Pittsburg.
