Celia Ophelia (Waugh) Bush, 94, of Walker, passed away Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at the Christian Health Care Center in Nevada, Mo. She was born Nov. 12, 1916, in Cedar County, Mo., to Isaac and Mabel (Neely) Waugh.

She was a graduate of El Dorado Springs High School. She married Herman Delbert Bush on Aug. 8, 1936. After their marriage, they moved to a farm north of Walker and also resided in the Ketterman and Schell City areas before moving to their final home east of Walker in 1959. Celia enjoyed taking care of the farm animals, growing flowers, sewing and cooking for her family.

She was prededed in death by her parents; her brother, Lloyd Waugh; her sister, Hedia Waugh Gee; her husband, Herman; her infant daughter, Barbara; and her daughter-in-law, Glenda.

Survivors include her son, Joe Bush of Walker, Mo.; her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Dan DeLancey of Kansas City, Mo.; her granddaughter, Becky Cooper and husband, Eric; two great-grandsons, Tyler and Jake Cooper, all of El Dorado Springs, Mo.; and Mollie, her faithful Border Collie companion.

Services for Celia Bush will be held on Thursday, Feb. 17, at 2 p.m., at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, with a visitation before the service from 1-2 p.m., Lester Thornton will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are W.D. Seitz, Clarence Hackleman, Tim Dade, Ben Decker, Rick Praiswater and Jeff Koehn.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
