The Nevada High School Class of 1960 had quite a bit of adversity during their high school years. Some of that adversity came about because on the night of Nov. 29, 1956, the Nevada High School was completely destroyed by fire. The blaze, which caused an estimated $1.7 million in damage also meant the loss of intangible things like keepsakes, documents and personal items. In order to document the event and its effects on the students, the Class of 1960 has decided to fund the creation of a museum exhibit.
