Sharon Kae Daugherty Earl, 68, Independence, Mo., passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011. Sharon was born Sept. 6, 1942, in Barton County, Mo., the daughter of Ralph and Goldie (Green) Daugherty. She was a 1960 graduate of Bronaugh High School. She was employed with Burns & McDonnell Engineering for 10 years. Sharon married Paul E. Earl in 1962, they later divorced. She enjoyed singing and dancing to country music. Sharon especially loved her two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; and four brothers.

Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Love; grandchildren, Kamera and Andrew Love; her loving companion for more than 25 years, Ike Luethje; sisters, Peggy Headley and Marlene Thomson; and numerous nieces, nephews and family.

A celebration of Sharon's life will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 16, at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave. Independence, Mo. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at Worsley Cemetery, Bronaugh, Mo. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association or the Worsley Cemetery Association.
