William W. (Pat) Murphey, 93, Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Bellevue, Wash., passed away on Mar. 16, 2011. Pat was born Feb. 14, 1918, in Braggs, Okla., and grew up in the El Dorado Springs and Nevada, Mo., area. He attended school in Stillwater, Okla., where he met his wife Alma, the love of his life.

He was a World War II veteran serving his country in the Air Force. After the war Pat was hired by Boeing Aircraft where he worked for more than 40 years. He began his career in Wichita, Kan., and moved to Seattle, Wash., where he retired. After retiring from Boeing, he worked selling real estate, did watch repair and preparing income taxes.

Pat was an outdoorsman. He began hunting and fishing at a young age and continued his love for both sports throughout his life. He never tired of talking about his outdoor adventures and the friends whom he enjoyed these activities with him.

Pat was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Alma Murphey, in 1991. He is survived by his sister, Lenora Royston and her husband, Carl, of Kansas City; along with several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Mar.19, at 5 p.m., at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, Kansas City, Mo.
