Dr. Karambu Ringera to speak on April 5

Dr. Karambu Ringera, founder and president of International Peace Initiatives, will speak at Cottey College on Tuesday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m., in the Missouri Recital Hall.

Dr. Ringera is originally from Kenya and currently is a lecturer at the University of Nairobi. She has worked in many countries to design and implement models of effective community engagement, women's grassroots organizing programs, collaborative problem-solving models, pre-emptive and post conflict reconciliation, proactive health campaigns, and a successful, working model of "Amani Homes," community homes of peace for orphans and vulnerable children. The Recital Hall is inside the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts on the northeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada, Missouri.

Dr. Ringera's appearance is part of the P.E.O. Speaker Series at Cottey College where notable women, who have been a recipient of a P.E.O. project, give an address at the College in their area of expertise.
