James "Jimmy" Johnson, 53, of Grain Valley, Mo., passed away May 29, 2011. Jimmy was born July 14, 1957, in Clinton, Mo.

He was employed by Hallmark Cards, where he had worked for 34 years. Jimmy was someone who loved to laugh and enjoyed making others laugh as well. He loved working in his yard, playing pranks on his family and friends and spending time with his chihuahua, Snuggles. Most of all he loved his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Toyka Johnson; sons, Hector Johnson and wife, Tarrah, of Blue Springs, Mo., James Anthony "Tony" Johnson and wife, Sarah, of Grain Valley, Mo.; daughter, Jessica Schwieso and husband, Jason, of Blue Springs, Mo.; stepson, Kodee Moore of Shelton, Wash.; four grandsons, Devon, Brody, Levi and Jesse James; three brothers, Jerry Johnson and wife, Alice, of Lee's Summit, Mo., Arlie Johnson Jr. and wife, Marty, of Leawood, Kan., Johnny Johnson of Clinton, Mo.; three sisters, Janet Newman and husband, Gerald, JoAnn Westendorff and husband, Mike, Judy Barnes and husband, Jim, all of Clinton, Mo.; parents-in-law, Larry and Marilyn Moore of Springfield, Mo.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, LG and Gretchen Moore of Olathe, Kan.; grandmother-in-law, Louise Hogan of Nevada, Mo.; uncle, Merle Johnson of Clinton, Mo.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, and of course, his loving dog Snuggles. Jimmy will be dearly missed.

A visitation was held from 1-2 p.m., followed by a 2 p.m. service on Saturday, June 4, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, Mo. Cremation to follow.
