Griffons prepare for NBC World Series, in Wichita

Last week when the Nevada Griffons won the South Division of the MINK League they automatically qualified for the NBC World Series that begins Saturday, July 30, at Laurence Dumont Stadium in Wichita, Kan.

The Griffons organization also has known since they finished second overall in the MINK League behind the St. Joseph Mustangs, they would play a team from the Midwest Regional Tournament sometime on Sunday.

Yesterday, the guessing game ended, when the NBC announced that Griffons will play the Derby Twins at 7:30 Sunday evening. If the Griffons win they will play on Friday, Aug. 5. and if they lose they will on Tuesday, Aug. 2.

The St. Joseph Mustangs will also play Sunday, when they take on the Cape Girardeau Capahas at 10 p.m. Sunday.
