"Remembering Our Fallen," a photo exhibit meant to serve as a reminder of the ulitmate sacrifice made by 129 Missourians killed in "the War on Terror," while serving in a war zone, is coming to Nevada in December.

This exhibit will travel statewide and the Nevada/Vernon County Chamber of Commerce and IMPACT Tourism have worked together to bring it to Nevada. Viewing of the exhibit, created by Bill and Evonne Williams of Patriotic Productions of Omaha, Neb., will be available from Dec. 2 through Dec. 7, at the Franklin P. Norman City/County Community Center, 200 S. Ash, Nevada. Viewing hours will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and from noon until 9 p.m., on Sunday.

During this time, Vernon Countians will have an opportunity to honor their own, Jamie Huggins, U.S. Army SSG of Hume and Christopher Stark (son of Teresa Stark of Nevada) U.S. Army SPC of Monett .

"We can never forget those who sacrificed everything for our freedom. We must remember these American Heroes and speak their names when we see their family members," said Colonel James Biernesser (Ret.) USAF and director of Military Programs for Bellevue University. "This exhibit is created in such a way so it can travel easily throughout Missouri, so that more people will have the opportunity to honor and remember Missouri's fallen."

The photo exhibit was unveiled on July 31 at the State Capitol Rotunda in Jefferson City, at which time the families of Missouri's Fallen were the first to see the display.

Sponsored by Bellevue University, exhibit viewing is free. The American Legion of Missouri and the VFW of Missouri have both endorsed the project, according to a press release, "realizing the importance of remembering those who are willing to sacrifice all," the release said.

Bellevue University is a private, non-profit University in Bellevue, Neb. Founded in 1966, with the charter of serving our military heroes, it has been a military-friendly school for 45 years.

Bellevue University was an early adopter of distance learning and is now a leader in online education with students in the 50 US states and 55 foreign countries, including Afghanistan and Iraq.

The exhibit is open to the public. To schedule the display, contact Bill Williams of Patriotic Productions at info@rememberingourfallen.org or (402) 612-0210.
