Nevada welcomes Cottey back

Mary Haggans, left, visits with Cottey student Grechen Grand and her parents, Johanna and Brian Grand, Idaho Falls, Idaho, when they arrived at the Franklin P. Norman City/County Community Center Saturday afternoon for the annual Welcome Cottey Picnic hosted by the city and I.M.P.A.C.T. Nevada Tourism. The cost of the picnic was paid with a tourism grant.

First-year Cottey students Sara Gazaway, Fort Scott, Kan., and Victoria Gallegox, Grants Pass, Ore., dig into their barbecue dinner served during the annual Cottey Picnic.

Rachel Kennedy, Nevada, is one of the new students at Cottey College for this year.
