August 12

11:22 p.m.: An accident occurred at Washington and Highland streets involving an unknown vehicle and an SUV owned by Sherrill L. Helzer, Torrington, Wyo. Accident is still under investigation.

August 13

8:05 p.m.: An accident occurred at 2250 E. Lincoln Avenue involving a pickup driven by Amanda A. Hall, Sheldon, Mo., and a pickup owned by Rose M. Otter, Nevada. No injuries were reported.

Debby Frye, Nevada, reported a burglary in the 700 block of West Allison Street. Items stolen were: A lawn chair, CD player, and miscellaneous cash.

August 15

6:44 a.m.: An accident occurred at Walnut and Spring streets involving an SUV driven by David E. Master, Nevada, and a car owned by Ashley Tally, Nevada. No injuries were reported.

Bobbie Bowles, Nevada, reported a petty theft in the 500 block of West Sycamore Street. Item stolen was a girls purple Mongoose bicycle.

August 16

7:44 a.m.: An accident occurred at 2250 E. Lincoln Avenue involving a car driven by Kristen L. Kitsmiller, Nevada, and a car driven by Kelly D. Taylor, Columbia, Mo. No injuries were reported.

August 17

6:42 a.m.: An accident occurred at US 54 Highway and Route BB involving a pickup driven by Joshua C. Ross, Lacyne, Kan., and an SUV driven by Kayla L. Hawks, Nevada. No injuries were reported.

11:01 a.m.: An accident occurred at Washington and Garfield streets involving a pickup driven by Dirk T. Jennings, Nevada, and a juvenile on a bicycle. The juvenile reported injuries.

Rosemary Micklich, Nevada, reported a theft in the 100 block of South Ash Street. Item stolen was a 49CC Moped.

Iva Reed, Nevada, reported a petty theft in the 400 block of South Clay Street. Item stolen was a Craftsman lawn mower.

August 19

7:51 a.m.: An accident occurred at 811 W. Hickory Street involving a pickup driven by Mathew J. Dewey, Nevada, and a car owned by Ronald Martin, Nevada. No injuries were reported.

2:46 p.m.: A three-vehicle accident occurred at U.S. 54 Highway before the overpass involving a pickup driven by Randy E. Gammon, Nevada, a pickup driven by Jeffrey D. Duey, Nevada, and a pickup driven by Seth Alexander, Schell City, Mo. Duey reported minor injuries.

4:24 p.m.: An accident occurred at Cherry and Lynn streets involving a car driven by Dorothy Z. Spurling, Liberal, Mo., and a pickup driven by Harold L. Shumaker, Nevada. No injuries were reported.

4:31 p.m.: An accident occurred at the industrial park before Highland Avenue involving an SUV driven by Joshua D. Meisenheimer, Nevada, and a pickup driven by Scott M. Eador, Nevada. No injuries were reported.

4:51 p.m.: An accident occurred at U.S. 54 Highway and Cedar Street when an unknown vehicle struck a car driven by James M. Buzzard, Nevada. No injuries were reported. Accident is under investigation.
