Jessica Thompson

Jessica Thompson, 27, of Columbia, passed away Aug. 30, 2011.

A memorial service was held Thursday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m., at Live in Christ Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Jessica was born May 17, 1984, in Nevada, to Garry and Rebecca Thompson. Jessica enjoyed dancing, painting, photography and nature. She treasured the time she spent with her family and friends.

Jessica is survived by her mom, Rebecca Miera; one brother, Garrett Thompson; one sister, Sarah Miera; one niece, Chloe Thompson, all of Columbia; one grandmother, Jean Shaffer of Nevada; four aunts, Suzanne Smith and Peggy Shafer both of Nevada, Candice Jones and her husband, Joe, of Florida and Cindy Vess and husband, Bill, of Jericho Springs, Mo.; one dog, Floyd; and two cats, Kilo and Talon.

She was preceded in death by her father, Garry; one grandmother, Helen (Smith) Thompson; and one grandfather, Richard Shaffer.
