Culbertson signs with Missouri S&T

Nevada High School senior Olivia Culbertson is planning to continue her softball career at the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla. Culbertson signed a letter of intent on Wednesday at NHS. A second team all-state selection in Class 3, Culbertson was one of the team's top hitters, ending the season with a .321 batting average, 25 RBIs, and seven doubles. The Tigers went 21-6 and reached the state quarterfinals. An infielder, Culbertson was also a key performer on the 2010 state championship team.
