Two hurt in Wednesday crash

The scene of this accident at the intersection of East Austin Boulevard and Johnson Drive on Wednesday afternoon is hectic. Vernon County Ambulance District personnel prepare a passenger of one vehicle for transport, a Nevada police officer measures the scene, a Nevada firefighter talks to the driver of one vehicle and a wrecker driver cleans debris from the roadway while traffic is streaming by on both sides. The accident occurred when a 2010 Lexus RS 350 driven by David Perry of El Dorado Springs, Mo., pulled into the path of an eastbound 1999 Ford Mustang driven by Ricco Sua of Walker, Mo., at about 1:45 p.m. There were no injuries to people who were in the Lexus, but Sua appeared to have hit the steering wheel with the bridge of his nose and his wife Lavonna was transported to the Nevada Regional Medical Center. Her injuries were undetermined.
