Dorcas C. Noble, 81, Nevada, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at Christian Health Care in Nevada, following a lengthy illness. She was born Jan. 7, 1930, in Nevada, to William H. Clark and Lucy C. Latta Clark. She married Glen G. Noble on May 21, 1949, in Walker, Mo., and he survives of the home.

Dorcas was a 1948 graduate of Walker High School. She worked for 22 years at Nevada City Hospital as secretary to the hospital administrator. Dorcas later volunteered at the hospital gift shop for many years and was a volunteer member of the Nevada Regional Medical Center Women's Auxiliary. She was a 60 year member of the First Christian Church in Nevada.

In addition to her husband, Glen, she is survived by two sons, William C. Noble and his wife, Cindy, Claremont, N.C., and James Mark Noble, Quincy, Ill.; five grandchildren, Lindsey, Ashley, Wayne, Jessica and Serenity; and three great-grandchildren, Adalaid, Annie and Avery.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 2, at the First Christian Church, Nevada, with the Revs. Bill Platt, Dana Kennard and David Rorabaugh officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until 9 a.m., Friday, at Ferry Funeral Home, 301 S. Washington, Nevada. The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 1, at the funeral home.
