Sheldon sweeps NEVC

Sheldon swept a high school basketball doubleheader from Northeast Vernon County on Thursday.

Sheldon won the girls game 66-23 and then took the boys contest 55-45.

Alesha Laning scored 20 and Erica Conner added 18 for the Sheldon girls. NEVC was led by Camille Buttorff's 12.

Eric Leavell scored 25 to lead Sheldon's boys, while Grant Davis scored 12 for NEVC.
