Marvin Chrisenberry, 61, Nevada, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at his residence following a sudden illness. He was born Jan. 30, 1950, in Nevada, to Gordon Harold Chrisenberry and Pauline Sue Saathoff Chrisenberry.

Marvin was a lifelong resident of Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1968. He spent 18 years working for Dirt Works, in Walker, Mo., building race cars. He had worked for Precision Machined Parts in Nevada for the past year, recently retiring in 2012.

Marvin was married to Melinda Holmes in 1968 and from this marriage survive their three children, Lisa Ray, Jason Chrisenberry, and Marty Chrisenberry and his wife, Krista, all of Nevada; four grandchildren, Megan, Alyssa, Tori and Lexi; his mother, Pauline Hogsett, Nevada; one brother, Harold "Bud" Chrisenberry, Dallas, Texas; stepbrothers and sisters, Mitch Chrisenberry, Debbie Chrisenberry, Arrin Crust and her husband, D.L., Debbie Wilde, and Mark Chrisenberry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon; one uncle, Bob Chrisenberry; and one cousin, Larry Chrisenberry.

A committal services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 27, at Newton Burial Park in Nevada with Roger Beach officiating.
