Iris Fern Swan, 86, Nevada, died Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at her residence, following a lengthy illness. She was born Jan. 1, 1926, in Nevada, to Douglas Clyde Williams and Glady Almetta Peterson Williams. She was married in 1945 to Leo "Pete" Hord and he preceded her in death in 1971. She then married Neale Swan on June 29, 1973, in Nevada, and he survives of the home.

Mrs. Swan was born and reared in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1944. She worked for 25 years as a floor supervisor at Key Work Clothes in Nevada, and later returned to school and became a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of the Community Christian Church in Nevada, the Order of th Eastern Star, and Pat Robertson's 700 Club.

In addition to her husband, Neale, survivors include two granddaughters, Lisa Mojonnier and her husband, Chris, Springfield, Mo., and Marsha Razo and her husband, Jesse, also of Springfield, Mo.; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Richard Williams and his wife, Naomi, Rich Hill, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents; first spouse, Pete Hord; one son, Leo Ray Hord, one daughter, Frances Mae Richards, one grandson, Rocky Joe Lusk, one great-grandson, Adam Leo Hagerman; four sisters; and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the Community Christian Church in Nevada, with Gary Kurtz officiating. Interment will follow at Moore Cemetery in Nevada.

Friends may call now and until 10 a.m., Tuesday, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
