No driver in sight at scene of crashed vehicle

No one was in this Ford F-150 when a Vernon County Sheriff's deputy and a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper came to investigate, just west of Pumphouse Bridge on Miniball Road, west of Nevada, Tuesday. It appeared as though the driver had lost control of the eastbound vehicle coming out of a curve, left the roadway and slammed into the tree. Deputy Dan Miller said officers knew who owned the truck but didn't know for sure when or how the wreck happened or who was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash.
