Ferry takes second at Marshfield

MARSHFIELD -- Nevada senior Joseph Ferry finished second overall at the 2012 Marshfield Invitational Golf Tournament on Thursday at Marshfield Country Club.

Ferry finished with a 73 (39-34), five strokes back of individual champion Mitch Mather of Lebanon.

There were 17 teams in attendance.

Nevada finished tied for seventh with Willard in the team standings with a 339.

Nevada freshman Andrew Quitno tied for 17th place with an 82 (39-43).

Also for the Tigers, Elijah Solidum tied for 44th with a 91 and Keegan Bell was 49th with his score of 93. Taylor Handly was 80th with a 117.

Lebanon won the team title with a 308 and West Plains was a distant second with a 323.
