Marion "Dutch" Harden

Marion "Dutch" Harden, 82, of Eldon, Mo., passed away Friday, April 13, 2012, at Eldon Nursing and Rehab in Eldon, Mo. On Dec. 20, 1929, he was born in Nevada, Mo., the son of the late John Raymond and Willa Rose (Edison) Harden. On Jan. 4, 1952, he was united in marriage to Mary Lue (Ashley) Harden who preceded him in death on Sept. 22, 1997.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Allen A. and Carol Harden of Eldon, Mo., and Raymond H. and Rhonda Harden of Eldon, Mo.; grandchildren, Fallon Harden, Eric Harden, Justin Harden and Jenna Kautsch; great-grandchildren, Khale Hammond and Jayden Harden; sisters, Margarite Kitsmiller of Nevada, Gladys Newby of Nevada, and Aletha Koppa of Olathe, Kan.; and brothers, Allen R. Harden of Walker Mo., Darrell Harden of Nevada, and Donald Harden of Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son, David Wayne Harden; one sister, Rosemary Brundridge; and one brother, Charles Harden

Marion was a member of the First Christian Church of Eldon, Mo., a lifetime member of the American Limousin Association and a member of the ODD Fellows Association. He was very proud of and enjoyed being a member of the Boy Scouts. He was a very loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Visitation will be on Sunday April 15, from 5 p.m.--7 p.m., at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Mo.

Visitation will also be on Monday April 16, from 12:30 p.m.--2 p.m., at the First Christian Church of Nevada, with the funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Bob Hoskins officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Walker, Mo.

Memorials for Marion are suggested to the First Christian Church of Eldon, or the Alzheimer's Association.
