Construction being done to complete transition to Interstate 49
Friday, April 20, 2012
Apac-Missouri Co. crewmen from Clinton work on dirt compaction Thursday at their $6.4 million project about 12 miles north of Nevada near Bates County, where overpass bridges are going up just south of Highway TT for the railroad and for U.S. 71's conversion into Interstate 49. MoDOT Resident Engineer Darin Hamelink of Nevada said a mile of TT is being relocated south of its previous route to eliminate an at-grade crossing, which the interstate system prohibits. He said the project should be completed by late November.
