Thursday, May 17, 2012

Nevada Mayor Brian Leonard presents a proclamation to members of the Nevada High School DECA, designating May 15 as DECA Recognition Day in Nevada, during the Nevada City Council's regular meeting on Tuesday. The proclamation is in recognition of the nine NHS DECA students who qualified to attend DECA's 2012 International Career Development Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. Of those students the team of Alexa Cubbage, Taylor Norcross and Dominic Puller placed first for the Financial Literacy Promotion they developed and Bailey Harbit received a Certificate of Excellence in the Sports & Entertainment marketing event for placing in the top 30 percent.
