Nevada's Hold competes at state track meet

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Morgan Hold represented Nevada High School at the Missouri Class 3 State Track Championships on Friday morning at Dwight T. Reed Stadium on the campus of Lincoln University.
A junior, Hold tied for 10th place in the boys pole vault by clearing 13 feet.
Christian Locke of Hannibal won the gold by clearing 14-6. Andrew Bartnett of John Burroughs was second (14-3), while Kyle Potter of St. Charles West was third (14-0).
Today's schedule
Nevada junior Ashley Shumaker will compete in the Class 3 girls high jump today at 2 p.m. Hold and Shumaker were the only members of the team to advance to state. The Class 3 and Class 4 state track meet finishes up today.
