The recycling center is much improved

Dear Editor:

Congratulations to Dave Irwin and his crew at the Vernon County Recycling Center for the recognition from peers at Region M Solid Waste Management.

Many residents will remember last fall the recycling center was disorganized and in disarray. The city of Nevada and Vernon County recognized the problems and took steps to correct the situation.

Dave led the efforts to clean and reorganize the center. With the expanded hours, it becomes easier and more convenient to bring items for recycling.
