August 1

There was a report of a theft in the 900 block of East Hickory Street. Automobile parts were stolen from a backyard shed. A subject is being sought.

There was a report of second-degree property damage in the 900 block of North Osage Boulevard. A front glass window and the back window of a 2000 Lincoln Continental was damaged, possibly by a pellet gun. This occurred sometime in the last two weeks.

3:38 p.m.: An accident occurred at 1407 W. Austin Blvd. involving an unknown vehicle and a car owned by Penny S. Shrimplin, Nevada. Accident is still under investigation.

5:20 p.m.: An accident occurred at 2424 E. Austin Blvd. involving a semi driven by Thomas E. Hascall, Balch Springs, Texas, and a semi driven by Timothy R. Nickerson, Fort Bent, Texas. No injuries were reported.

August 2

There was a report of second-degree burglary in the 1500 block of West Walnut Street. Two televisions, a Mongoose bicycle, Toshiba Laptop, Cannon Powershot camera, and other items were reported stolen. A suspect is in custody.

There was a report of a theft in the 600 block of North Prewitt Street. A black and orange 26-inch La Jolla Street Cruiser Alloy 2600 bicycle was reported stolen. The bicycle was in the fenced in back yard.

There was a report of a theft in the 200 block of West Highland Avenue. A wallet and three packs of cigarettes were reported stolen from a locked vehicle. Entrance was gained by breaking the front passenger window.

August 3

6:19 p.m.: An accident occurred at Main and Ashland streets involving a bicycle ridden by a juvenile and a car owned by Cheryl J. Rogers, Nevada. No injuries were reported.

August 4

12:07 p.m.: An accident occurred at Hickory and Adams streets involving a car driven by Rachel R. Shepherd, Nevada, and a pickup owned by James L. Wilson, Nevada. No injuries were reported.
