Vehicle stolen in Springfield recovered in Nevada

Two suspects have been charged in connection with the Sept. 5 recovery of a vehicle that had previously been reported stolen in Springfield.
Christopher Austin, age 33, of El Dorado Springs, has been charged with the felony of first degree tampering with a motor vehicle. A $15,000 bond was set.
Alisha Jones, age 25, of Springfield, Mo., has been charged with the misdemeanor of second degree tampering with a motor vehicle. A $1,000 bond was set for Jones.
Officers were called to the 100 block of South Adams Street, Nevada, to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle and determined the vehicle had been stolen in Springfield, and the two suspects were taken into custody, a press release said.
