JOPLIN, Mo. -- The Nevada Lady Tigers tennis team got back on the winning track in emphatic fashion with a shutout victory over College Heights Tuesday. The Lady Tigers were never really challenged much at all on their way to a 9-0 win that quickly erased the bad memories from the shutout loss they suffered against Harrisonville the night before.

Regan Kimbrough and Abby Landoll put up the most dominant performances of the day as they defeated Rose Stewart and Holly Conner in the No. 1 and No. 6 doubles matches by the final scores of 8-1 and 8-0, respectively. The No. 5 singles match went nearly as well for Nevada, as Abby Landoll defeated Courtney Byrne, 8-2.

None of the doubles teams for College Heights were ever really any challenge, either, as the No.1 doubles team of Kimbrough and Jessica DeCocq defeated Stewart and Abby Mansley by a final score of 8-2 and the No. 2 doubles team of Kierstin Lanham and Lauren Baker beat Conner and Cydney Longwell by the same score. The No. 3 doubles team of Lizze Smith and Megan Payne took down Byrne and Ashley Roberts by a final score of 8-3.

The Lady Tigers are scheduled to be back in action today at Carthage.
