Therapy animal evaluations to be held in October

Therapy animal evaluations will be held Oct. 20, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 15156 E. Ponyhill Rd., Nevada.

Animals and their handlers are evaluated on obedience skills and aptitude for working in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools, healthcare facilities and with individuals. This evaluation workshop is being sponsored by the WAGS (Wonderful Animals Giving Support) organization.

Individual evaluations are expected to take approximately one-half hour. The evaluations will be conducted by a certified Pet Partner, formerly Delta Society, evaluator. Persons interested in having their pet evaluated to be used in therapy settings need to contact Carol Parmenter at butterflyhillsfarm@gmail.com or (417) 876-3849 to schedule a time.
