Seventh grade volleyball defeats Joplin North

The Nevada Middle School seventh grade volleyball teams got back into action at home Thursday night, taking on Joplin North at Nevada Middle School.

In the A game, Nevada took the victory in two sets by the final scores of 25-14 and 25-17. The B game was a much closer affair as Nevada needed three sets to do it, but still picked up the victory by the final scores of 25-23, 25-17 and 25-12 -- only losing the second set.

The eighth graders were in action on the night as well, but those scores were not available at press time.

Nevada is scheduled to be back in action on Monday, in Joplin.
