The Nevada Lady Tigers took on the McDonald County Lady Mustangs Thursday in the annual Dig for a Cure volleyball game.

"We had a lot of support from the community," head coach Ashley Thoreson said. "Tonight was our Dig for a Cure night and we had a lot of support from the community. There was a lot of work that went into organizing the evening and I would like to thank everyone who helped and all of those that came out to support the cause. It's an evening that the girls all look forward to and they really enjoy playing for such a large crowd."

It was a good night for varsity and junior varsity Lady Tigers -- both won in two games.

The JV scores were 25-13 and 25-18; final scores for the varsity team were 25-21 and 26-24.

Regan Kannady had 7 kills, Bree Reppert posted 10 digs, Brookly Ryan recorded 3 aces, and Morgan McNeely had a total of 8 digs and 16 assists.

"Even though we had a great crowd we still played pretty flat and had a hard time finishing plays but were able to get the win in 2. We are still struggling with our consistency but we have been winning a lot of very close matches, so it's good to see that they are not giving up and are fighting to the finish." Thoreson said.

The freshman team lost their match in three, with final scores of 27-25, 25-17 and 25-23.
