Swim team performs well at Webb City meet

The Nevada Tigers boys' swim team headed back out on the road to Webb City Tuesday and brought home another strong performance.

Jesse Claypool had the best showing of the day for the Tigers as he took first place in the 500-meter freestyle with a time of 5 minutes, 26.34 seconds. Morgan Hold added two top-five finishes for the Tigers as he took second in the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.56 seconds and fifth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:20.65.

Andrei Ziabchenko echoed that strong performance as he took fourth in the 200 individual medley and third in the 100 backstroke. The Tigers' medley relay team that featured Bryson Leftwich, Ziabchenko, Hold and Claypool brought home the final top-five finish of the day with a fifth-place showing in a time of 2:02.84.

Next on the schedule for the Tigers is the Springfield Invitational, which is set for Saturday, Oct. 20.
