Betty Marie Duncan

Betty Marie Duncan, 51, El Dorado Springs, Mo., died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at her residence, following a lengthy illness. She was born Nov. 16, 1960, in Nevada, Mo., to James Rich and Judith Ryan Rich. She was married in 1990 to Charley Duncan and he survives of the home.

Betty grew up in Nevada and graduated from Bronaugh High School in 1978. She lived most of her life in Nevada and has resided in El Dorado Springs, Mo., for the past six months.

In addition to her husband, Charley, survivors include four children, David Stokes, Bonner Springs, Kan., Charity Dempsey, Nevada, Mo., Justin Duncan, El Dorado Springs, Mo., and James Duncan, of the home; four grandchildren, Emily, Diana, Justin Jr., and Noah; her mother, Judith Brokob, Nevada; siblings, Gus Brokob, Nevada, Richard Lutes, Joplin, Mo., James Lutes, Cameron, Mo., and Beverly Ford, Sheldon, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Georgia Rich.

A visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 15, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada between 1 and 2 p.m.
