Constance "Connie" Sue Allard

Wednesday, November 14, 2012

Our beloved mother, Constance "Connie" Sue Allard, passed away suddenly at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo., on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012. She was 65 years old.

Connie was born on April 14, 1947, to Cliff and Lois Tow in Nevada, Mo., where she lived her entire life. She was a 1965 graduate of Nevada High School. Later she became a valued member of the "Teller Gals" at First National Bank where she worked for the past 27 years.

Connie's greatest accomplishment in her life was her two sons, Douglas Harold Allard III, of Nashville, Tenn., and Christopher Corey Allard, of Nevada. Connie is survived by, not only her two sons, but also a daughter-in-law, Jenny Allard, and the apple of her eye, her grandson, Case Harlan Allard, along with her extended family, Harold and Edith Gragg and Lilliana Gragg. She is also survived by two nephews and one niece. Connie was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Gary Tow.

Connie lived her life for her family and friends. She believed her most important job was to raise her sons admirably. "Well, Mom, mission accomplished. We will miss you terribly. We love you."

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 17, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Steve Russ officiating. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nevada High School Scholarship Foundation in memory of Connie Allard in care of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
