HARRISONVILLE, Mo. -- The Nevada Tigers and Lady Tigers basketball junior varsity squads returned home from the Harrisonville Tournament with mixed results Wednesday.
The Lady Tigers found themselves in a close contest against the Harrisonville freshman team in their fight for third place. The Lady Tigers ultimately came out on top by a final score of 34-30, taking the third spot in the girls' bracket.
The Tiger boys didn't have quite as much success in their place game, however. In the fifth-place contest, Nevada suffered a 44-29 defeat at the hands of a Grain Valley squad that was coached by Nevada High School alumnus Ryan Adams, who is also the son of former Nevada High School principal David Adams.
