David Lee Alkire

David Lee Alkire, formerly of Nevada, Mo., passed away Dec. 10, 2012, after a lengthy illness. He was born May 18, 1957, in Ansbauch, Germany. He graduated from Walker High School and served in the Merchant Marines. His profession was restoring antique cars.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph and Betty Alkire; and a brother, Michael Joseph Alkire.

Surviving is Cindy Clardy of the home; Carolyn Alkire and children, Melissa Humphrey and Thomas, Shawna Alkire and Nicholas Williams, Nathan Alkire, Jesse Lee, and Heather; grandchildren, Albany and Greydon Humphrey, and Gavin Williams; sisters, Christiane Bennett and Dennis, and Marilyn Peery and James; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A family memorial is planned at a later date.
