Bronaugh boys fall to Golden City

GOLDEN CITY, Mo. -- Host Golden City handed Bronaugh's boys their second loss in the Golden City Tournament in a 73-54 setback Thursday night.

The Wildcats started strong and led 15-5 after the first quarter. They held a seven-point lead at halftime, at 26-19.

But Golden City warmed up and Bronaugh cooled off after that. The result was a 25-15 difference in the third quarter, which gave the home team a 44-41 edge. The onslaught continued in the final frame, as Golden City racked up 31 points, while holding Bronaugh to 13.

Patrick Hallam paced Bronaugh with 21 points. Josh Willis added 12, Blake Hudson had 11, Cole Diggins had six, and Chance Wait added four.

The Eagles' Wyatt Scott poured in 26 points in the second half alone on his way to a 36-point night. Teammate Dakota Triplett added 28.
