Bettrinae Sue "Trina" Garren

Bettrinae Sue "Trina" Garren, 34, formerly of Nevada, Mo., passed away unexpectedly at her home in Republic, Mo., on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013. She was born May 4, 1978, in Nevada to Walter D. Burris and Nancy M. Stone Burris. She married Paul M. Garren on August 25, 2001, in Nevada, and he survives of the home.

Trina graduated from Nevada High School in 1996. She had lived in Republic for the past seven years where she owned and operated Trina's Day Care for the past 10 years.

Survivors in addition to her husband, Paul, include one son, Zachary Garren, of the home; two daughters, Hannah and Madison, of the home; one stepdaughter, Morgan Garren, Springfield, Mo.; her mother, Nancy Burris, Liberal, Mo.; two sisters, Cassandra Wallace and friend, Bobby, Liberal, and Elizabeth Hedges and her husband, Brian, Stockton, Mo.; one brother, Richard Burris, Liberal; several nieces, nephews, cousins; her mother-in-law, Connie Garren; and her father-in-law, Art Garren, both of Nevada. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 19, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Tom Haynes officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 18, at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to a scholarship fund for her children in care of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
