Bronaugh boys fall in tournament play

Bronaugh's boys stayed even through the first three quarters in a give-and-take contest against Golden City in the consolation round of the Tony Dubray basketball Classic, in Liberal, before falling short, 52-44, Friday night.

The Wildcats led, 15-12, after 8 minutes and still nursed a 24-23 lead at halftime. The teams were tied at 35 after three quarters before a 17-9 difference in the final period proved decisive.

Josh Willis put together 18 points for Bronaugh, who also got 12 from Patrick Hallam. Chance Wait added eight and Blake Hudson six.

The Wildcats return to action Thursday at McAuley.
