Class 1, District 7 basketball seeds announced

The Drexel High School boys's and girls' basketball teams are the top seeds in the Class 1, District 7 tournament, Feb. 18-23, at Drexel.

After the Lady Bobcats, the Montrose Lady Jays are seeded second, Appleton City is third and the Hume Lady Hornets are fourth, followed by Northeast Vernon County, Bronaugh, Miami-Amoret and Ballard. On the boys' side, Bronaugh is second behind the tournament host, Appleton City is third and Montrose fourth, followed by Ballard, Miami-Amoret, Hume and Northeast Vernon County.

Two girls' and boys' first-round games are scheduled Feb. 18 and 19, the semifinal games are set for Feb. 21, and the title games are to be played Feb. 23.
