Bobby M. Cliffman, 81, Nevada, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at Freeman Health System West, Joplin, Mo., following a sudden illness. He was born Aug. 10, 1931, in Sheldon, Mo., to Earl R. Cliffman and Alberta Helen Duncan Cliffman. He married Margie Lou Blasiar on Nov. 1, 1951, in Bentonville, Ark., and she survives of the home.

Bob graduated from Nevada High School in 1950. He served in the National Guard for three years and then was called into active duty by the U.S. Army, serving in Korea from 1953-'55. Bob returned to Nevada and went to work for Sears for 34 years until they closed. He then sold real estate for 13 years, retiring in 2005. Bob was a member and past deacon of the First Baptist Church, lifetime member and past Exalted Ruler of the BPO Elks No. 564, the Osage Lodge Masonic Lodge No. 303, and past member of Missouri Association of Realtors. Bob enjoyed his men's coffee group at McDonald's, hunting, fishing, camping, and woodworking.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Marge, include one son, Lynn Cliffman, and his wife, Sharon, Nevada; one daughter, Melissa Sparlin, and her husband, Jay, Arvada, Colo.; four grandchildren, Michael Cliffman and his wife, Tonia, Wellington, Kan., Amanda Mitchem and her husband, Dustin, Nevada, Seth Coffman, Arvada, Colo., and Mark Cliffman, Webb City, Mo.; six great-grandchildren, Michaela, Erika, Tristan, Conner, Brittney, and Marisa; one sister, Earlene Millstead, Nevada; one brother, Harold Cliffman, Nevada; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mark Cliffman; and one brother, Neal.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 6, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Hubert Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. Friends may call from now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends from 7-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made in his memory to the First Baptist Church, the American Cancer Society, or the American Heart Association in care of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
