Tumbling Tigers compete at Missouri Winter Games

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Tumbling Tigers gymnastics team competed in the Missouri Winter Games on March 3.
More than 1,300 individuals competed in the three-day event. Two Tigers took first-place medals in the meet as Drew Weeks won the Level 5 Uneven Bars and Lotus Van Dyk took the Level 4 Vault title.
In the All-Around Level 5, Weeks took second, while Emma Davis finished fourth and Abby Gayman took sixth. The Tigers placed second in the team All-Around for Level 5.
In the Individual All-Around Level 4, Lilly Hart finished second, Van Dyk was third, Jescie Comstock took fifth, while McKenzie Kelly, Shaylee Terry and Aubry Terry each finished eighth. The Level 4 team placed seventh overall.
In the Individual All-Around Level 3, Morgan Smith took fourth, while Rilynn Miller, Destiny Brokob and Mallarie Yokley each finished fifth. The Level 3 team took seventh overall.
The team also met 2012 Team USA Olympic gold medalist Jordyn Wieber. Wieber performed a balance beam routine and answered questions at the competition.
The Tumbling Tigers are currently preparing for the final meet of the season, the Kansas City League Championship, which is scheduled for April 5-7, in Belton, Mo.
The Tumbling Tigers are coached by Jeff and Darinda Weeks, at Nevada Dance & Gymnastics Center.
