Gary A. Brown

Gary A. Brown, 66, Adrian, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Mo., following a sudden illness. He was born Dec. 25, 1946, to Thomas Leon and Edna Nadine Brown. He married Donna Young on June 28, 1968, in Commerce, Okla., and she preceded him in death on Sept. 28, 2012.

Gary was reared in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for two years and served in Vietnam. Following the service, Gary returned to Nevada and was married to Donna. He has lived in Adrian for the past 34 years where he operated Brown's Refrigeration for more than 20 years and was currently working as a crane operator with Ebby Construction in Kansas.

Survivors include two sons, Robert Musick and his wife, Melissa, Butler, Mo., and Rick Brown and his wife, Sheila, Marshfield, Mo.; four grandchildren, Heather Berry and her husband, Jason, Blue Springs, Mo., Brytani Musick, Ft. Mead, Md., Cody Brown and Caleb Brown, both of Marshfield, Mo.; one great-granddaughter, Kierstyn Berry; and his new companion, Brenda Lee, Garnett, Kan. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 23, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. John Prichard officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.
