Since it was called off due to possible weather delays and extreme temperatures, the Oak Grove Golf Tournament -- which was originally scheduled for today -- has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 28, head coach Brian Leonard said via email Wednesday.

The Nevada Tigers golf team will be participating in this tournament.

The tournament will be played at Adams Pointe Golf Course, in Blue Springs, Mo., at 8:30 a.m. Nevada was among the originally scheduled participants in the tournament, but was forced to withdraw due to the Missouri State High School Activities Association's 14-day practice rule, but since the tournament has been postponed, Leonard's squad will now be back on the list of participants.

The Tigers are scheduled to get the season under way on Tuesday, in the Neosho Tournament. That tournament, which is to be played at Neosho Municipal Golf Course, will tee off at 9 a.m.

The Nevada Tigers baseball team was scheduled to be in action today as well, heading out on the road to take on Joplin, but that game has been postponed. No makeup date had been announced by press time Wednesday.

The Tigers are scheduled to make their home debut tomorrow against McDonald County, but winter weather could put a stop to that as well.
