FORT SCOTT -- The Nevada High School boys' tennis team was scheduled to get its tournament season under way Tuesday afternoon in the Fort Scott Invitational tournament, but due to the lingering effects of the winter weather that moved through the area over the weekend, that tournament has been postponed.

Nevada High School athletic director Kevin McKinley said the tournament was rescheduled for April 16, at 3 p.m.

Next on the schedule for head coach Clayton Wheeler's squad is Thursday, when the Tigers will head out on the road to compete in the first dual match of the season at Carl Junction, weather and court conditions permitting
